Frequently asked
How do I scan a receipt?+
Open AisleWatch, tap the green scan button at the bottom-center, and hold your phone about 8 inches above the receipt — flat surface, even light. The first scan takes a moment as we extract every line item; after that they fly through.
How do I fix a misread item?+
After a scan, the review screen shows every line item. Tap any row to edit the name, quantity, or price. Your fix improves the parser the next time it sees the same kind of receipt.
How do I delete a receipt?+
Open the receipt, tap the menu (top-right), then "Delete receipt". Deleted receipts also remove their line items from your price history.
How do I manage my subscription?+
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your phone, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. From there you can change plans, pause, or cancel.
How do I delete my account?+
In-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or from the web: /account/delete. Either path soft-deletes your data immediately and permanently purges it 14 days later.
Which stores work best?+
AisleWatch handles the major US chains — Trader Joe's, Safeway, Whole Foods, Costco, Aldi, Target, H-E-B, Publix, Kroger, Wegman's — plus most independent grocers. Specialty receipts (deli counters, farmer's-market scrawls) work less reliably.
How do I invite household members?+
Settings → Household → Invite. We send a one-time link by email or text. Once accepted, every member's receipts feed the same shared price history.
How do I export my data?+
Settings → Account → Export Data. We email you a CSV archive within a few minutes. The export includes every receipt, every line item, every price history entry.
How do I reach support?+
Email support@aislewatch.app. We answer most questions within one business day.
